Population Censuses
First Results (11.29.2010)
The first results of the 2010 Population Census were released after the steps of supervision and data quality control, which took place from November 4 to 24, 2010, in all the 27 Federation Units and in the Brazilian municipalities. The first results also include the estimated number of persons living in closed households, that is, households in which it is not possible to conduct person-to-person interviews, despite evidences indicating the presence of residents in the place.
The data are displayed as tables in PDF and zip format, technical notes and Estatcart base.
The tables present, in the aforementioned formats, the population by municipality, household by type categorized by Federation Unit and the growth rate of the population for Brazil, its Major Regions and Federation Units.
The technical notes, in PDF, deal with the the methodology to estimate the number of residents in private households.
