Temporary and Permanent Crops 2010
It presents information on planted area, area directed to crops, harvested area, amount produced, average yield and production value of products of permanent and temporary crops, by Major Region and Federation Unit. It also brings a thorough performance analysis of the most relevant crops in productive and commercial terms, highlighting, among other aspects, the spatial distribution of the main agricultural products in the territory, their relative participation in the total regional and national production value, harvests obtained in the main producing municipalities, as well the most relevant factors affecting the results and productivity of these crops. It also includes the definition of the characteristics investigated by the survey.
The CD-ROM enclosed in the publication contains, besides the information presented in the printed volume, the table plan of the survey by Federation Units, geographic mezo-regions, micro-regions and municipalities and a summary table with all the information about the crops, in order of decreasing value of harvested area. It also brings a time series with data about harvested area and amount produced, whose results are presented in the complete coverage of the survey, for the period between 2004 and 2010. The items that are harvested more than once in the year, such as peanuts, potatoes, beans and corn, are presented in the complete coverage of the survey, for the year 2010.
