Annual Survey of Services
ANNUAL SURVEY OF SERVICES - 2009
This publication gathers a group of economic and financial information that contribute to the estimation of basic structural characteristics of non-financial service activities.
The survey presents, for the country, information about revenue, expenditure, employed persons, wages, withdrawals and other compensation, and value added, among other aspects, besides regionalized data about the distribution and configuration of this economic sector. The results, based on version 2.0 of the National Classification of Economic Activities – CNAE - encompass the following segments: services rendered to families, information and communication services; professional, administrative and complementary services; transportation and auxiliary services to transportation and mailing activities; real estate activities; maintenance and repair services; and other services. The commentaries provide an overall view of the productive structure of the services sector and its segments in Brazil, in 2009, and highlight the participation of its Major Regions in this scenario.
The publication includes technical notes about methodological aspects of the survey and an annex presenting the list of activities of the National Classification of Economic Activities – CNAE 2.0. The CD-ROM enclosed with the survey brings, besides the data contained the printed volume, the complete table plan for the years 2008 and 2009.
These data represent a valuable source of information of statistics about the structure of the services sector, with information for public and private planning, aimed at the academic community and the public in general.
