Annual Survey of Trade - 2009
This publication gathers a group of economic and financial information which allows the estimation of basic structural characteristics of the trade sector as well as the monitoring of its evolution throughout the years.
It presents, for the country as a whole, data on revenues, expenses, employed persons, salaries, withdrawals and other compensation, purchases, stocks and trade margin, among other aspects, especially for companies with at least 20 employed persons, besides regional data about the distribution and configuration of this economic sector. Results are based on version 2.0 of the National Classification of Economic Activities – CNAE and are released together with commentaries that bring a national overview of the sector, including trade of motor vehicles, parts and motorcycles, whole trade and retail trade, and details on the regional distribution and profile of this activity in 2009.

The CD-ROM which comes enclosed with the publication presents all the information contained in the printed volume and the complete table plan for 2009.

This survey presents the most complete source of statistics on the production structure of the trade sector in Brazil, and provides the elements needed for the planning and the decision-making process in governmental and private institutions, and for more specific studies to be carried out by users in general.
